March 8th is International Women’s Day. This year, the IWD campaign theme is #ChooseToChallenge.

“Women are increasingly assuming positions of power. America has elected many ‘First Women’ into the new administration, but the world is still far from parity”, Susanna Kass.

According to the data report through the UN SDG EP program, the female representation ranged from over 30 percent in Australia and New Zealand to less than 10 percent for other regions. However, women represented 39 percent in 2019 of the world’s workers and half of the world’s working-age population. In 2019, women accounted for 41 percent of managerial positions in South-Eastern Asia and 40 percent in Northern America, but few are in decision-making positions. In the time of COVID-19 pandemic, more women are working as front-line workers to help their societies. “More women need to speak up at IWD on how each of us can raise the awareness to promote Gender Equality and put in more education programs to empower all young girls to reach parity”, added Kass.

To celebrate International Women’s Day in the technology sector, we’d like to invite you to join us for the webinar: https://www.sginnovate.com/events/celebration-international-women%E2%80%99s-day-leading-together-stem
